OC begins sales of individual tickets
Individual tickets for all matches at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011™ in Germany will go on sale on a 'first come, first served' basis from Wednesday 15 September 2011 at 09:00 CET. Tickets for the most attractive matches such as the opening match (involving hosts Germany) at the Berlin Olympiastadion on 26 June and the final in Frankfurt on 17 July 2011 are in high demand.
The lowest-priced tickets for the first ever FIFA Women's World Cup on German soil cost just 15 euros and will be available for all group stage matches (with the exception of the opening match) as well as for the match for third place. The most expensive ticket is the Category 1 ticket for the final at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Stadium Frankfurt, priced at 200 euros. All ticket prices include VAT and ticket charges. Tickets also entitle the holder to the use of local public transport on the day of the match.
"It's our aim as the OC to offer fans the unique atmosphere of this world-class event at reasonable prices. A World Cup is a fantastic festival that fans should experience first hand. I’m sure that besides the opening match, the final and the matches of the German team, there will be plenty of other attractive games for the fans. We are looking forward to spectacular matches with the world’s best female players in all venues," said OC President Steffi Jones.
700,000 tickets are available for the 32 matches in the host cities of Augsburg, Berlin, Bochum, Dresden, Frankfurt, Leverkusen, Monchengladbach, Sinsheim and Wolfsburg. 270,000 have already been sold as 'Venue Specific Tickets' and group tickets over the past few months.
