When you are a fan, there is something special about celebrating a goal in football. That is no less true for Nickollas Grecco, who is a massive Palmeiras supporter… and blind.

But Nickollas would not appreciate the game nearly as much as he does if were not for his mother, Silvia, who takes him to the matches and narrates them for her adoring son.

“I talk him through every play,” she told us. “I go into details about the atmosphere, the characteristics of each player – if he has dyed hair, long sleeves, the colour of his boots – and narrating goals is without doubt the most emotional part."
