Your vote counts: 52 matches, two teams, one Player of the Match

The first game of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ has now been played. France defeated Korea Republic in an entertaining opening match, and you chose Wendie Renard as your Player of the Match – presented by Visa. In each of the next 51 games, you will have the opportunity to cast your vote for the best player on the pitch. An overview of all Player of the Match award winners can be found in our Fan Zone.

What is the Player of the Match award?

The Player of the Match vote gives fans across the globe the opportunity to choose the most outstanding footballer in every match at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 in real time. The player with the highest number of fan votes receives the award at the end of the game.

Where can I vote for the Player of the Match?

We are making it easy for you to give your opinion. You can choose your favourite player on two different platforms: FIFA.com and the FIFA app. If you are following the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 on FIFA.com, you can vote in the Live Blog during every single match!

How does the voting work?

All you have to do is choose the player you feel deserves to win the Player of the Match award and give her your vote.

When does voting begin?

Voting opens as soon as the first half ends in each match. You can vote until the final whistle.
