93 days to go

In 1993 women’s football in England was competing, and struggling, against other more traditional team games. Since then, however, the popularity of women’s football in England has grown exponentially.

Twenty-two years ago, there were only 80 registered girls’ teams. Today more than 1,400,000 female players participate on a regular basis. International women's football in England has also flourished, the Three Lionesses have gone from strength to strength and will be competing in their fourth FIFA Women’s World Cup™ at Canada 2015.
