90 days to go

The FIFA Women’s World Cup™ 1999 set an attendance record for a single match, when a total of 90,185 spectators turned out to watch USA beat China PR in the Final at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

After a goalless draw, penalties were required to separate the sides. The Stars and Stripes lifted the Women's World Cup on home soil by beating the Chinese 5-4, with Brandi Chastain famously scoring the decider.
