Italian team fined CHF 1,500 for misconduct

Under the chairmanship of Mr Marcel Mathier (SUI), the FIFA Disciplinary Committee announced today that the Italian team participating at the FIFA U-19 Women’s World Championship Thailand 2004 has been found guilty of team misconduct in accordance with art. 53 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC) and thus the Italian Football Federation is ordered to pay a fine of CHF 1,500.

Art. 53 of the FDC defines team misconduct as a team having four or more players cautioned during a single match and that such misconduct must be punished by a fine.

In the match China PR -Italy on 13 November 2004 in Chiang Mai, four players from the Italian team (Serena COPPOLINO, Agnese RICCO, Alia GUAGNI and Diana BELLUCCI) received yellow card cautions.
