Tite signs on for four more years

Tite is set to be Brazil coach throughout their 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ campaign, after the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced on Wednesday a four-year contract renewal for the 57-year-old.

After being appointed in 2016, Tite helped Brazil to a series of impressive results during qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, only for the five-time world champions to suffer a quarter-final exit in Russia with a 2-1 defeat against Belgium.

"The CBF is investing in a long-term project by guaranteeing the Technical Commission six and a half years in charge of the national team, and we believe that careful planning and judicious execution will lead Brazilian football to the results we expect," said Rogerio Cabocio, Executive Director of the CBF.

Tite boasts a strong record as Brazil coach, winning 20 and losing just twice in 26 matches at the national team helm.
