You reckon you know how Portugal-Spain and Argentina-Croatia will turn out? Well, welcome to the FIFA World Cup™ Match Predictor, where you can challenge your friends and compete for prizes including an Apple Macbook and an iPad!

For each of the 48 group-stage matches, you simply predict the scoreline and answer one bonus question. For each of the 16 knockout-phase games, you predict the scoreline and answer two bonus questions.

Scoring points For each of your predictions, you will score points for:- Predicting the correct result (i.e. Portugal to win) - Predicting the correct scoreline (i.e. Portugal to win 3-1) - Predicting the correct margin of victory (i.e. Portugal to win by two goals) - Predicting the correct number of goals scored (i.e. four goals in the match)

You will get between 1-100 points for correctly predicting the right result, scoreline and margin of victory. You will get between 1-50 points for correctly predicting the number of goals scored.

How many points you score depends on how many other players have made the same prediction – the fewer that have, the more points you’ll score, so being brave could pay off!

Change your predictions up until kick-off Predictions can be changed at any point up until the scheduled kick-off time of the match in question. So if, for example, you predict Portugal to beat Spain 3-1, but when the line-ups are revealed you see Cristiano Ronaldo is not playing, you can change your prediction.

Bonus questions You will only be able to predict bonus questions once the line-ups have been announced, from around 60 minutes before kick-off, but they only take a few seconds to answer from your mobile or desktop. You will earn 30 points for each correctly answered bonus question.

Jokers For each of the 25 Russia 2018 matchdays, you can assign one prediction to be your joker, which will score you double points if it’s correct! Joker selections can be changed at any time up until the kick-off of the game in question.

Private leagues and head-to-head challenges Reckon you can beat your friends? Willing to risk handing them bragging rights? If so, enjoy the challenge – and the banter! – of your own private league or a one-on-one challenge. You can create or join either of these before or at any point during Russia 2018 by sharing a unique link either via email or on social media. You can compete in up to 20 private leagues, while there’s no limit to the amount of head-to-head challenges you can participate in, so get calling your friends out!
