New Zealand at home first in OFC play-off

New Zealand will play at home first against Solomon Islands in the Oceania zone play-off final on the road to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

The return leg will be hosted by the Solomon Islands, with the draw taking place in Auckland on Thursday at the OFC Academy.

The matches will take place in late August/early September with the exact dates and venues yet to be determined.

New Zealand, who face host nation Russia on Friday in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup opener, won Group A of OFC Round 3 qualifying with ten points from their four matches.

Solomon Islands topped Group B ahead of Tahiti and Papua New Guinea with three wins from four outings.
