With the highly anticipated Final Draw now just days away, sales phase 1 for 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ tickets concluded today, confirming the huge interest from fans from Russia and all over the world.

742,760 tickets allocated in total A total of 742,760 tickets were allocated during the two periods of sales phase 1. This figure excludes ticket orders that were cancelled due to no payment. While most of the applications in sales phase 1 came from Russia, international demand increased steadily and currently accounts for 47 per cent of all applications so far. Fans from the USA, Brazil, Germany, China, Mexico, Israel, Argentina, Australia, and England all rank in the top ten in this regard.

“We are very pleased with the results of the first sales phase. They confirmed the great interest sparked by the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia – both at local and international level. The next opportunity to secure a place at this unique event will start on 5 December 2017 at 12:00 Moscow time at FIFA.com/tickets, just four days after the Final Draw. Fans from all over the world will be able to apply for individual match tickets. Category 4 tickets, which are exclusively reserved for Russian residents, will also be available,” said FIFA Head of Ticketing Falk Eller.

Sales to resume on 5 December Ticket sales for FIFA’s flagship tournament will resume on 5 December with the launch of the second random selection draw sales period. Fans will be able to apply for individual match tickets and other ticket products exclusively on FIFA.com/tickets until 31 January 2018. In cases where the number of tickets applied for exceeds the available inventory, tickets will be allocated by a random selection draw process.

Supporter tickets and conditional supporter tickets Official supporters of all 32 participating member associations will be able to apply for supporter tickets and conditional supporter tickets for their national team’s matches. These tickets will come out of the allocation made available to each of the teams playing in the match in question. Supporter tickets are tickets for each of the three group matches that will be played by a team. Conditional supporter tickets are tickets for each of the four knockout phase matches that could potentially be played by a team, with such tickets remaining conditional upon a team qualifying for the respective rounds of the tournament. Tickets purchased during this sales window will be allocated by a random selection draw process, which will be carried out in the presence of a public notary if the number of tickets requested exceeds the available inventory. All customers will be notified about the status of their application by 12 March 2018 at the latest.

FAN ID At the request of the Russian authorities, all fans attending matches at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia need to apply for a FAN ID – the official identity document issued to fans. Fans are encouraged to apply for this free document as soon as possible after they have received their ticket confirmation email.

The FAN ID and a valid ticket are required for fans to be able to enter the 2018 FIFA World Cup stadiums. Having a FAN ID gives fans additional benefits and services provided by the host country, such as visa-free entry to the Russian Federation, certain free inter-host city travel and free use of public transport on matchdays.
