Saudi's Al Jaber 15th player to score in three FIFA World Cups

Saudi goalscoring legend Sami Al Jaber is the 15th player who scored in three different FIFA World Cups when he hit the net against Tunisia.

The list of players who scored at three different tournaments reads like an extract from the Who's Who of world football and includes Klinsmann, Batistuta, Lato, Rummenigge, Baggio, Völler, Szarmach, Maradona, Matthäus, Platini, Hierro, Rocheteau, Jordan and Julio Salinas. The latter achieved the unusual feat of spreading his three FIFA World Cup goals across the three tournaments held in 1986, 1990 and 1994.

Also on the list of illustrious players who could join this elite club of scorers in three FIFA World Cups are RONALDO (BRA), Michael OWEN (ENG), David BECKHAM (ENG), Henrik LARSSON (SWE), RAUL (ESP) and Brian MC BRIDE (USA).

Pelé and Uwe Seeler are way out in front in this respect, having netted at least once in every tournament from 1958 to 1970.
