Press centre in Bergisch Gladbach opens on 19th June to support Brazilian media

On time for the arrival of the Brazilian national team, the press centre in Bergisch Gladbach will be opening its doors at 11 a.m. on Monday, 19th June. Located directly next to the training ground of the Seleçao, the press centre offers optimum working conditions and easy access to the World Champion team. From Sunday night onwards, Bergisch Gladbach will be home to two World Cup teams – Korea has been living there since the beginning of the FIFA World Cup 2006.

For journalists, 50 workstations with all the necessary communication technologies will be available (hotspots, DSL etc.). The World Cup matches and news from national and international television stations will be broadcast on large flat screen TV's. A lounge and premises for background discussions and interviews are set up. Areas with an appropriate electricity supply are available for the OB vans of the TV stations. Parking spaces are reserved directly at the stadium for media representatives. The entry permit for the press centre in Bergisch Gladbach will be issued on site on presentation of a valid press ID card.

At 8 p.m. on the evening of the 19th June, the World Cup Welcome Party of the FIFA World Cup quarters, Bergisch Gladbach will take place in the Mediterana. In the special atmosphere of the well-known wellness temple, musical and culinary treats will spirit visitors away to the south of Europe.
