Invitation to visit the Deutsche Bahn network control centre in Frankfurt

Deutsche Bahn AG is Official Sponsor to the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ und Official Mobility and Logistics Services Provider for this fantastic sports event.

Every day, around 35,000 train movements take place on the Deutsche Bahn network, which covers a length of more than 34,000 kilometres. During the course of the World Cup, DB will run approx. 10,000 extra trains. All these trains are monitored and dispatched from one of our seven state-of-the-art network control centres in the different regions. The heart of all operations management is the Network Control Centre in Frankfurt am Main. Unnoticed by our passengers, the 33 employees here hold the reins to ensure that railway operations proceed smoothly all over Germany right round the clock, seven days a week. With the help of innovative communication and data processing instruments, the Network Control Centre monitors and coordinates long-distance passenger and freight trains.

We cordially invite you to pay a personal visit to the Network Control Centre. We should also like to take that opportunity of telling you more about our company, which has provided logistics products and services to ensure mobility throughout the World Cup and which is also one of the world's leading mobility and logistics services providers.
