Interview/Photo Opportunity with Australia super fan Jim Scane

Thirty two years ago, super fan Jim Scane led Australia on to the pitch the last time they reached the FIFA World Cup finals.

Today, this remarkable 90 year-old - originally from England and a former trainee goalkeeper with Tottenham - will fly a staggering 13,000 miles to see his beloved adopted nation take on Japan in Kaiserslautern on Monday (June 12).

Following the recent sad loss of his wife and a period of illness, Jim has been brought back to Germany courtesy of Emirates to help fulfil his dream of seeing an Australian player finally score a goal at the finals of the FIFA World Cup.

For further information and the chance to interview arguably the oldest supporter at the FIFA World Cup, contact Alan Ewens, Media Relations Manager Emirates Airline on +97150 4514188 (before Noon on June 11) or +49 1726 925 407 (after 7.30pm on June 11).
