England lifted a World Cup trophy for the first time by beating Venezuela 1-0 in the final of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017. However, it wasn’t the only silverware won by an Englishman on the night. FIFA.com presents the award winners.

adidas Golden Ball: Dominic Solanke (England) Dominic Solanke’s improved game by game in Korea Republic. The forward scored the winning goal in the Young Lions’ 1-0 win over Mexico in the quarter-finals before notching a brace against Italy in the semi-finals en route to eventually helping his nation lift the trophy in Suwon. Solanke's lung-bursting runs and incisive eye for goal were just two of many attributes that contributed greatly to England’s success. His desire to win was all-the-more evident in the final when he had to be taken off the pitch after a heavy collision only to return a few minutes later, eyebrow stitched, to ensure his team got across the line.

adidas Silver Ball: Federico Valverde (Uruguay) Uruguay’s journey at Korea Republic 2017 was one defined by a solid defence and an astute midfield led by Federico Valverde. The Real Madrid Castilla player logged 715 minutes in Korea Republic and was a hugely-important piece of Fabian Coito’s team.

adidas Bronze Ball: Yangel Herrera (Venezuela) One big reason why La Vinotinto had the success they did was Yangel Herrera. The Manchester City midfielder (on loan at New York City) provided boundless energy in the centre of the park game after game.

adidas Golden Boot: Riccardo Orsolini (Italy) The Juventus forward's left-footed volley against France will live long in the memory as it was not only a brilliant piece of play, but it helped Gli Azzurrini beat their long-time rivals and gave them the momentum needed to finish in a best-ever third place. His five goals in Korea Republic were unmatched.

adidas Silver Boot: Joshua Sargent (USA) The red-haired 17-year-old made history by becoming USA's youngest-ever goalscorer at the U-20 World Cup, and he also tied the country's goals record in the competition. The future is very bright for the St. Louis native.

adidas Bronze Boot: Jean-Kevin Augustin (France) The Paris Saint-Germain forward was one many fans were looking forward to watching, and he lived up to the expectation. Augustin scored in three of France's four matches.

adidas Golden Glove: Freddie Woodman England may not have been going home with the World Cup trophy if it wasn't for Woodman's heroics in the final. His saves against Sergio Cordova and for Adalberto Penaranda's penalty were defining moments for the Young Lions as they made history in Suwon.

Fair Play Award: Mexico Mexico will be disappointed they could not reach a third U-20 semi-final, but they will be pleased with their behaviour and attitude on the pitch. El Tri picked up just three yellow cards and 45 fouls in five matches.
