Burjeel Hospital announced as National Supporter of FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018

FIFA and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) are pleased to announce the signing of Burjeel Hospital as a National Supporter of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018. The competition is due to be held in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain from 12 to 22 December 2018.

Based in Abu Dhabi, Burjeel is one of the leading hospitals across the Middle East. By supporting the tournament, Burjeel Hospital is reinforcing their commitment to the sport. As part of their sponsorship agreement, the company will provide extensive medical backing during the tournament, including services for the participating teams and supporters.

According to Amir Firdaus, Chief Operations Officer, speaking on behalf of the new National Supporter: “Burjeel Hospital is a supporter of football and the sport’s development. We are one of the biggest hospital groups providing sports medicine and other facilities to athletes, including football players. We are happy and proud to support the FIFA Club World Cup 2018.”

Philippe Le Floc’h, FIFA’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented: “FIFA is pleased to welcome Burjeel Hospital to our line-up of National Supporters for the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018. We look forward to supporting their brand activations at the tournament.”

His Excellency Aref Hamed Al Awani, Tournament Director of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018 Local Organising Committee, said: “Our mission in hosting the FIFA Club World Cup is to leave a lasting legacy across all aspects of UAE society, through strong collaboration with our stakeholders and national partners. It is an honour to welcome Burjeel Hospital as a National Supporter.”

Seven teams will participate in the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018, with eight matches to be played in two venues. Thanks to this agreement, the leading hospital brand will benefit from brand exposure and association rights during the tournament.
