Mohamed returns to Monterrey post ahead of Club World Cup

Antonio Mohamed is set to coach Monterrey at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019 having previously led the Mexican club over three years until 2018.

In his first stint at Monterrey, he reached two league finals (Clausura 2016 and Apertura 2017) and won the 2017 Apertura Cup.

"The happiness I have is enormous,” he said. “We're going for revenge and we need the support of Mexico's best fans to go together for glory.”

Monterrey will kick-off its Club World Cup campaign on 14 December against the winner of the competition's opening match between New Caledonia’s Hienghene Sport and local side Al Sadd.
