Mexico needs to attack attack attack, that’s why Fabian will be the most important player on the field for both teams. Mexico needs to take full opportunity of all their stopped ball opportunities to make whoever is goalkeeper for Brasil uncomfortable and ultimately force mistakes. Defensively don’t allow any player with the ball from Brasil breathing room inside the box. In particular don’t allow Neymar into the box because he’ll just fall and depending on the officiating he might or might not get a penalty. It’s easier said that done, but i’ll be extremely tough without Giovani.

This is Fabian’s chance to step up. He cannot wait and let Gio take the blame or baste in glory like in previous games. Gio is OUT Fabian is IN. If Mexico wins or lose it’ll be mostly Fabian. As much as I dislike Fabian, he is the closest thing to a creative midfielder. Aquino and Herrera are great, but they create for themselves, particularly Aquino. Fabian needs to open up space and give Peralta a couple of good looks at goal. Shame Gio can’t take part in the culmination of something he’s been the primary part of.
