Cameroon - South Africa / CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier / 26 March 2016:
Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Hlompho Kekana had never scored for his country before taking to the field against Cameroon in a CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Yaounde, but he would break his duck in spectacular fashion. The then 30-year-old would enter esteemed company – alongside the likes of David Beckham and Xabi Alonso – in an elite club, by having the audacity and technique to shoot and score from inside his own half. With trademark tenacity, Kekana won the ball from Cameroon’s Tony Tchani, looked up, and hit a powerful, gliding effort over stranded ‘keeper Ndy Assembe.
