“Football is nothing without fans.” Those famous words from Jock Stein, legendary former manager of Celtic Football Club, still ring true today. Fans are the heartbeat of the beautiful game.

The inaugural winners of the FIFA Fan Award were supporters of Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, and they have since been followed by supporters of Celtic in 2017 edition, Peru in 2018 and, most recently, by Palmeiras supporter Silvia Grecco,

The latest edition of the FIFA Fan Award will recognise an outstanding fan moment or gesture, with a shortlist to be compiled by a panel of experts. Once this shortlist is announced, and as was the case in its first three editions, football fans will be able to vote on FIFA.com for their winner of the 2020 FIFA Fan Award. An award for the fans, decided by the fans.

All award winners will be revealed at The Best FIFA Football Awards show in Zurich on Thursday 17 December.
