The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper Award is given to the most outstanding goalkeeper in men's football as voted for by an international jury comprising the current coaches of all men's national teams (one per team), current captains of all men's national teams (one per team), one specialist journalist from each territory represented by a national team and fans registered on

From a shortlist of five goalkeepers, the panel will select the winner for their respective achievements during the period from 8 October 2020 to 7 August 2021.

Gianluigi Buffon (2017), Thibaut Courtois (2018), Alisson (2019) and Manuel Neuer (2020) are the previous winners.

The winners of all of the awards will be revealed at The Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich on 17 January 2022.

Alisson Becker
A member of last year's FIFA FIFPRO Men's World XI, the shot-stopper helped Liverpool finish third in the Premier League and Brazil reach the final of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2021.
Gianluigi Donnarumma
The Player of the Tournament at UEFA EURO 2020 and the first goalkeeper to win the award following his heroics in the final with two saves in the penalty shoot-out and three clean sheets in the tournament. He was then transferred to PSG from AC Milan.

The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper 2020 won the Bundesliga and reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with his club last season, as well as representing Germany at UEFA EURO 2020, exiting in the round of 16.
Kasper Schmeichel
Denmark's No. 1 starred at UEFA EURO 2020, where his country were semi-finalists, and then helped his nation secure early qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a string of clean sheets. Also won the FA Cup in England with Leicester City.
