Video Vault: Edu revels in compatriots' global glory

Edu long dreamed of representing Brazil at the FIFA World Cup™. But after being left out of their Korea/Japan 2002 squad and hearing Sven-Goran Eriksson was interested in calling him up for England, the uncapped Arsenal man began warming to the idea.

Edu went on to win the Copa America 2005 and FIFA Confederations Germany 2005 with Brazil, before an injury-ravaged 2005/06 season with Valencia put paid to the cerebral midfielder’s chances of playing at the 2006 World Cup. Here, Edu reflects on Ronaldo winning the Germany 2006 Final for A Seleção and seeing his friends celebrating in Yokohama.
