Honduras are the fourth and final CONCACAF nation to win through to the FIFA U-20 World Cup Poland 2019, despite exiting the continental championship on Monday.
USA defeated Honduras with a lone second-half winner from Ayo Akinola, with the Central Americans merely needing to avoid losing by four goals to retain second in the group ahead of Costa Rica.
The result ensures USA progress to the final where they will meet Mexico on Wednesday for the right to be crowned continental champions. Mexico and Panama earlier played out a 2-2 draw, but El Tri progressed to the final on a Fair Play countback.
Honduras have featured at seven previous editions of the U-20 World Cup, including Korea Republic 2017, but have yet to progress beyond the group stage.
USA, Mexico and Panama all locked up qualification for Poland 2019 on Friday.
