Over the past six weeks, FIFAworldcup.com, in conjunction with Budweiser, has given fans the chance to vote online for the greatest goal ever scored in FIFA World Cup history. Using exclusive video footage from the FIFA archives, football fans from around the globe have selected weekly winners from the past five weeks.
Maradona's unforgettable strike came top of the league winning the final knockout stage this week with 18062 votes. England's Michael OWEN (ENG) followed closely in second with his effort in 1998 finals, edging the legendary PELE (BRA) into third place.
