Turkey’s important role highlighted in presidential meeting

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has discussed the important role in football’s development around the world with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey, around the 76th Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York, USA. 

The two Presidents met at the newly-opened Turkevi Center in Manhattan, and took the opportunity to discuss a range of topics highlighted by the ongoing development of women’s football, the important role that Turkey continues to play at club and national team level, together with the country’s leading role in hosting significant football and sports events.

The meeting was also attended by former government ministers Akif Cagatay Kilic and Osman Askin Bak.
