  • Overview of the teams and groups

The field of teams looking to make it through to the FIFA eClub World Cup 2020 is altogether impressive, but there are nevertheless certain names that stand out from the crowd. Here are the clubs and organisations who, on paper, look to have a good chance of making the cut, with online qualifying set to start on 26 November.

Click here for all the groups as well as live results from online qualifying.

AFC Ajax

A veritable monument of FIFA eSports. AFC Ajax were part of the first FIFA eClub World Cup in 2017 and also featured in the 2019 version. 'Ajax Dani' and 'Ajax Tore' are two young but very experienced players who have already cut their teeth at the FIFA eNations Cup, FIFA eClub World Cup and FIFA eWorld Cup.

Manchester City

Based on the theory that you never change a winning team, Manchester City signed Ryan Pessoa for another season and are sticking with the same line-up that made it through qualifying in 2019. 'Ryan' and 'Shellz' will therefore be looking to help the English club make it through to their third FIFA eClub World Cup, which would also be number three for Ryan.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen

'deto', who was runner-up at this tournament in 2017, looked on good form at the first FUT Champions Cup of the season in Bucharest, and he and 'DUBZJE' will be hoping to see Bayer 04 Leverkusen into the FIFA eClub World Cup.

Tundra eSports

This team has a world champion, a runner-up, two FIFA eNations Cups and a FIFA eClub World Cup on its CV. With 2018 FIFA eWorld Cup winner 'Msdossary' alongside 'HoneyBadger', Tundra eSports look to have all the experience they need to make it through FIFA eClub World Cup qualifying.

Gladbach

The German outfit have got the season off to a flying start in the upper reaches of the Virtual Bundesliga, with both players in the top 10 of the FIFA 20 Global Series Rankings after the first FUT Champions Cup. 'DerGaucho10' and 'Jeffryy95' are a pair worth keeping a close eye on.

Brondby IF

The most successful club in the short history of the FIFA eClub World Cup are here once again for online qualifying. The Danes have made it through to all three events thus far and impressively managed to win the title on two occasions. 'Dingo' and 'Fredberg' work well together as a team and could easily make it four in a row for Brondby.

FC Basel

FIFA eClub World Cup 2019 winner 'FCBNicolas99FC' will be flying the flag for FC Basel this year alongside team-mate 'CodyDerFinisher'. Both players have featured in the FIFA eClub World Cup and FIFA eWorld Cup in recent years.

Fnatic

The other FIFA eClub World Cup winner from 2019 – 'Tekkz' – is representing a new team this time around, namely 'Fnatic'. Together with 'Tom', who played alongside him for England last year at the FIFA eNations Cup, he will be looking to go back-to-back.

FokusClan

Reigning FIFA eWorld Cup winner Mohammed 'MoAuba' Harkous will be playing for a new team at online qualifying, with 'Sakul' alongside him. Both players have FIFA eWorld Cup experience, putting them among the favourites to qualify for the FIFA eClub World Cup.

Hashtag United

Another familiar name on the FIFA eClub World Cup scene, having taken their academy team to the FIFA eClub World Cup in 2018. 'HashtagHarryy' and 'Hashtag Shawrey' will be representing the English outfit this year.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves have also been to a FIFA eClub World Cup before, making the quarter-finals at the beginning of this year. They will be relying on the same pairing this season of 'Fifilza7' and 'Enibhob'.

NEO

All eyes will be on 'HUGE GORILLA' during online qualifying for the FIFA eClub World Cup, as the 2017 FIFA eWorld Cup winner is back with a new team – NEO – and alongside last year’s FIFA eWorld Cup Grand Finalist 'STOKES'.

SV Werder Bremen

Both 'MegaBit98' and 'DrErhano' took part in last year’s FIFA eWorld Cup. The former is also the reigning German individual champion, while Bremen won last season’s domestic club championship.

TSWarriorPlayer

TSWarriorPlayer will be hoping that what works at the international level can also do the business on the club scene, with Portugal’s FIFA eNations Cup 2019 team 'RastaArtur' and 'Tuga810' lining up for them here.
