RE-LIVE: 2014 World Cup Rewind

Fans voted for their favourite FIFA World Cup™ game from the past nine editions, and the ninth and final of those winning matches – Brazil-Germany from Brazil 2014 – streamed 'live' in its entirety on 25 May.

It was a highly-anticipated semi-final between the tournament hosts Brazil and then three-time champions Germany. Despite getting past South American rivals Colombia in the quarter-finals, the Brazilians had the challenge of being without the inspirational Neymar through injury and the suspended Thiago Silva for this semi-final. The Germans, meanwhile, were in confident mood after getting past France to reach the last four. What unfolded at the Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte on 8 July 2014 will be remembered by many a football fan for years to come.

Fans can watch the whole match above or by heading to the World Cup Facebook page, or FIFA TV on YouTube.

As with any big World Cup game, fans were kept up to date with major updates of the 'live' action on Twitter on @FIFAWorldCup too, with plenty of pre-match stats, figures and videos that whetted fans' appetite for the main event.
