Pachuca arrive in Abu Dhabi

  • Pachuca have arrived in UAE to participate in the Club World Cup

  • This will be their fourth appearance at the tournament after qualifying in 2007, 2008 and 2010

  • The CONCACAF champions face Wydad Casablanca on 9 December

Pachuca are by no means newcomers to the FIFA Club World Cup, with the 2017 edition representing their fourth appearance at the competition. Los Tuzos have arrived in the United Arab Emirates, with their sights set on improving on their best finish at the tournament after placing fourth in 2008.

With that in mind, their Uruguayan coach Diego Alonso has brought over a strong squad, despite the last-minute withdrawal of Edson Puch, who has been replaced by young central midfielder Pablo Lopez.

Pachuca flew into Dubai from Mexico before settling into their tournament headquarters in Abu Dhabi, where they will finalise their preparations for their opening match against Wydad Casablanca on Saturday 9 December.
