From Jewel Ramos (Honduras) Argentine Primera Division side Estudiantes de La Plata celebrated the reopening of Jorge Luis Hirschi Stadium after years of renovations in stunning fashion. Returning for their first match at the ground since 2005, the club – known as El Leon (The Lion) – marked the occasion with a giant flaming lion hologram, which appeared on top of the stands after emerging from the night sky. Before sizing up its new-look surroundings, the lion leapt onto the pitch in front of the awe-struck crowd. It's no wonder bsrocks8 submitted this one!

From Caolan Gormley (Ireland) When Chelsea revealed the signing of Sam Kerr on Wednesday, another high-profile transfer was announced over at the Home of Football in Zurich. Arsene Wenger was unveiled as FIFA’s new Chief of Global Football Development, where he will be chiefly responsible for overseeing and driving the growth and development of the sport for both men and women around the world. The signing of Le Professeur caught the eye of KelanGormley.

From David Streiber (Colombia) 9 November 2019 marked 30 years since the Berlin Wall - the guarded concrete structure which divided the east and west of the city from 1961 to 1989 - was brought down. To mark the historic occasion, German Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin had their own wall on the Olympiastadion pitch before kick-off, which stretched along the halfway line, and was deconstructed before action commenced. Fan Movement member dstreiberm was there to watch it unfold.

From Pasha Hajian (IR Iran) Football has an extraordinary power to bring people together – and that was certainly on display ahead of Australia’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ qualifier with Jordan in Amman.
