The encounter between Brazil and Australia had everything you could ever hope for in a football match. The South Americans initially looked on course for victory thanks to Marta's opener from the penalty spot, before Cristiane doubled their lead with a precise header 11 minutes later. Ultimately, however, Brazil let their advantage slip and lost the game 3-2.

In the team's previous assignment against Jamaica, Cristiane scored the first hat-trick of the FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019™, becoming the oldest player in tournament history to hit a treble in the process.

At the age of 34 years and 25 days she followed in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, who achieved the same feat with a hat-trick in Portugal's 3-3 draw with Spain at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, aged 33 years and 130 days.

Does Cristiane deserve the France 2019 Goal of the Tournament Award for her stunning strike? You decide!
