Blatter: We’ve made historic decisions

Shortly after the FIFA Congress in Mauritius, FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter spoke to about the reform process within football’s world governing body, the fight against racism and discrimination, and the first woman to be appointed to the FIFA Executive Committee.

“The results of the Congress are very promising for the future of FIFA,” said Blatter, clearly delighted by the progress made on the island state in the southwest Indian Ocean. “We’ve made some historic decisions. I’d also like to mention our determination to fight racism and discrimination, as well as Lydia Nsekera becoming the first ever woman to be elected to the FIFA Executive Committee.”

The FIFA President also responded to criticisms of FIFA with regard to age limits and terms of office.
