FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019 kicks off on 7 June next year
With one year to go, the Host Cities are already celebrating the event

While planning even a day ahead can sometimes be a difficult task, let alone a year, women’s football fans know very well what they will be doing with their time come 7 June next year: watching the start of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™.
It is on that day that Les Bleues will be taking part in the tournament’s Opening Match, at the Parc des Princes in Paris. Twelve months may be a long time, but they are sure to pass by quickly for Corinne Diacre’s team and for all the players taking part in the qualifiers.
One year, one Host City, one mural To celebrate the one-year-to-go mark in the countdown to the biggest tournament in women’s football, FIFA, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) and the nine Host Cities have organised an artistic event that will create a lasting cultural legacy across France.
A mural created by a street artist will be unveiled in each host city (Grenoble, Le Havre, Lyon, Montpellier, Nice, Paris, Reims, Rennes and Valenciennes). Unique in nature, they will each pay tribute to the character of the city in question.
