FIFA will host Broadcasters from around the world in Rio de Janeiro at the first World Broadcaster Meeting of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™. In all, over 140 broadcasters covering almost 200 territories will converge on the Sofitel Rio de Janeiro to begin in earnest their road to the FIFA World Cup™ Final on July 13, 2014. The World Broadcaster Meetings focus on the technical, logistical and operational aspects of the broadcast operations at each FIFA World Cup™, and assist each Broadcaster to plan their operations in the Host Country and link back to their home audience. In addition to important general information about the host country and the event, key points related to the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Production Plan, venue services and facilities, broadcast and telecommunications are preseted. The Local Organising Committee will present on a number of important topics surrounding the organisation of the event on the ground in Brazil, including security, transport, accreditation and other administrative matters.
