FIFA launches Executive Programme on Sports Arbitration

Today, FIFA launched the Executive Programme on Sports Arbitration, tailored towards lawyers with an interest in sport law and/or in-house legal counsels of International or National Federations, clubs, leagues and player unions.

The Programme provides an introduction to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the fundamental aspects of CAS proceedings as well as CAS leading cases in sports.

Leading Lawyers, specialized in CAS proceedings, and arbitrators will deliver lectures in three modules, from which participants will gain an in depth understanding of the different types of CAS procedures, practical guidance in resolving disputes before the CAS and an Introduction to other sports-related arbitration models in sport.

The programme is aimed at providing a hands-on approach to all aspects related to proceedings before the CAS.

With its long-standing and extensive arbitration experience comprising thousands of cases on numerous issues covering the whole spectrum of legal disputes, FIFA provides the perfect platform for an executive legal course to be delivered by renowned legal practitioners and academics in sports arbitration.

The first edition of the Programme will run from November 2020 to January 2021. The admission process is open from today until 15 September 2020.
