The 2020 CAF Futsal Africa Cup in Morocco took place from 28 January to 7 February. Egypt, Angola and Morocco qualified for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021™.
The 2020 AFC Futsal Championship in Kuwait, with five places up for grabs, is scheduled to be held from 23 March to 3 April 2021. The original tournament in February was postponed by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as was the subsequent event planned for November.

Russia, Spain, Portugal and Kazakhstan stamped their World Cup tickets at the UEFA Elite Round from 28 January to 2 February 2020. Czech Republic defeated Croatia in the play-off round to book their place, while Serbia edged Finland 6-5 on aggregate in their play-off on 9 December 2020. Lithuania, as hosts, have already been confirmed as participants.
The 2020 Concacaf Futsal Championship in Guatemala will decide the region's four representatives at Lithuania 2021. Dates and times for the competition will be decided at a later stage.

Solomon Islands were the first side to join Futsal World Cup hosts Lithuania after they won the 2019 OFC Futsal Nations Cup in Nouméa, New Caledonia - which was held from 28 October to 2 November.
The South American qualifiers for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021™ were played from 1 to 9 February. Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Venezuela secured the continent's four available World Cup berths.
