Colombia are through to their first FIFA Futsal World Cup after winning Group B of the South American Futsal qualifying tournament that is being played in the Brazilian city of Gramado.

Completing the quartet of qualifiers are Paraguay who also won through following the completion of Thursday’s group stage, where they will join Brazil and Argentina in representing South America at Thailand 2012.

Colombia obtained its group win thanks to a comfortable 5-0 win against Ecuador to set up a semi-final meeting with Argentina.

Paraguay had a tougher time before subduing Uruguay 4-2 in what was effectively a play-off for the remaining ticket to the world stage. They will now face the hosts in a last-four meeting with the final to be held on Sunday.
