There are several familiar faces in the reigning FIFA eClub World Cup champions’ group. Wolverhampton Wanderers swept through online qualification undefeated, while both Prime NINJA and Manchester City eSports lost just once each in qualifying.

We take a look at the four teams in Group A.

Brondby IF (Denmark)

Last year’s winners qualified automatically for the FIFA eClub World Cup 2019 as holders. 'Dingo' and 'Fredberg' will represent the Danes again at this year’s event after being part of the victorious team last time. After setting up their eSports department in January 2017 and winning the eSuperliga this year, Brondby will be determined to defend their title at this year’s FIFA eClub World Cup.

Prime NINJA (Japan)

'Janoz' and 'Web' are a Colombian-Japanese pair who successfully navigated Group K of online qualification without suffering a single defeat. In 'Janoz', the team have one of the most experienced players on the competitive scene at their disposal. The Colombian has been playing professionally since FIFA 2009 and competed in the FIFA Interactive World Cup Grand Final in 2017. Japanese player 'Web' also reached the Grand Final last year.

Wolverhampton Wanderers (England)

The English side are represented by Brazilians Ebio 'Ebinhob' Bernardes Da Costa Filho and Flavio 'Fifilza7' de Almeida Brito. The pair have already shown what they can do at several tournaments this season, and are among the dark horses to claim the FIFA eClub World Cup title. After some impressive recent performances, 'Fifilza7' is currently in the top 20 of the FIFA 19 Global Series PlayStation Rankings.

Manchester City eSports (England)

Manchester City are the only one of the City Group’s three teams to qualify for the FIFA eClub World Cup 2019. Both of their players have certainly been among the best on the scene since last season, with both Ryan Pessoa and Shaun Springette impressing at numerous Global Series events. The English club have set their sights on winning the tournament.
