Group D is unquestionably one of the most even sections in this year’s FIFA eClub World Cup™. There is a good reason why AFC Ajax are among the favourites for the title again this year. KiNG eSports, for their part, will feature the top two ranked players in the FIFA 19 Global Series, while both ECV Esports and AlNassr FC have very promising players carrying their hopes.

We take a look at the four teams in Group D:

AFC Ajax (Netherlands)

Their two representatives have experienced at least one Grand Final each. Moreover, with their consistent performances so far this season, 'Ajax Joey' and 'Ajax Dani' are among the favourites for this FIFA eClub World Cup. Both players came through the qualifiers from their camp in the USA, where they have been working hard on improving as a team.

AlNassr FC (Saudi Arabia)

'Yasser_Harthi' and 'TheRoyal' will be flying the flag for the Saudi club at this year’s FIFA eClub World Cup. 'TheRoyal' first participated in FIFA tournaments in 2015 and, together with his team-mate 'Yasser_Harthi', has made victory at this tournament his ultimate goal. The Saudi eSports scene is one of the most thriving out there, with its progress evidenced by Mosaad Aldossary’s victory at the FIFA eWorld Cup last year. Now, AlNassr FC want to prove that the country has also progressed greatly at club level.

ECV eSports (Netherlands)

'l__Prohunter__l' and 'ECV Renzo' led their team to a somewhat unexpected online qualification by remaining undefeated in Group A, where they beat, among others, VFB Stuttgart eSports and FOKUS Clan. A series of consistent and strong performances from 'l__Prohunter__l' have also seen him break into the top 40 of the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings. And while ECV eSports are not among the favourites in this group, they proved in the qualifiers that they are capable of springing a surprise at any time.

KiNG eSports (Germany)

One of the strongest teams this season, KiNG eSports feature FUT Champions Cup winner 'Tekkz' alongside the Argentinian 'Nicolas99fc', who participated in the Grand Final last year. Thanks to their formidable performances thus far in the campaign, both players head up the rankings in their respective consoles and are the favourites for this event. 'Tekkz' has been nothing short of sensational in the tournaments he has played this season, winning the FUT Champions Cup in December and then the PGL FIFA 19 Cup. 'Nicolas99fc', for his part, won the Gfinity Series tournament in January.
