With virtual football growing in popularity daily, the FIFA World Football Museum in Zurich has decided to turn the spotlight on this global cultural phenomenon by opening a new exhibition area dedicated to the digital game’s technology and competitions as well as its accompanying lifestyle – from past, present and future perspectives.
Visitors can discover the world of eFootball via the many interactive stations in the museum, including special gaming pods based on the originals used for the FIFA eWorld Cup™, on which they can test their console skills on past and present versions of the FIFA gaming series.
Animations reveal how the game has developed graphically in terms of the stars’ appearance. Visitors can transpose themselves in scenes from the virtual world at a selfie station and be transported from their living room to the stage of the FIFA eWorld Cup. Naturally, the FIFA eWorld Cup trophy itself is on display.
The exhibition opened to the public on 16 July 2020.

And then there were eight. Day Two at the FIFA eClub World Cup 2020™ ended with the culmination of the group stage and Round of 16 as the race to be crowned the best club team on EA SPORTS FIFA 20 went up another gear in Milan.
The race to be crowned the best club team on EA SPORTS FIFA began with a bang in Milan on Friday with 24 of the planet’s leading teams getting their FIFA eClub World Cup 2020™ campaign underway.
An action-packed curtain-raiser saw the completion of Rounds 1-3 of the group stage, which produced captivating 1v1 and 2v2 battles packed with tension, excitement and goals.

The world’s best eFootball clubs and organisations meet at the FIFA eClub World Cup in their quest to become FIFA eClub World Cup champions. Launched in 2017, the competition is also part of the 2020 Global Series and one of the eight major competitive FIFA tournaments.
FIFA’s official club team competition is back for the fourth time and the world’s best teams in competitive FIFA will compete for the title, battling it out against rivals in a unique format including 1v1 and 2v2 match-ups from 7 to 9 February.

Having received their exclusive invitation to The Best FIFA Football Awards™ 2019 after winning the FIFA eWorld Cup™, Mohammed Harkous and his coach Matthias Hietsch began their journey at Dusseldorf Airport on Sunday evening. Just like the inaugural winner of the FIFA eWorld Cup – back when it was still known as the FIFA Interactive World Cup – the reigning world champion travelled to The Best FIFA Football Awards in Milan. What awaited 'MoAuba' there was a once-in-a-lifetime evening that he will not forget in a hurry.
