THE DAY REPLAYED - Korea DPR will not have the chance to retain their FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup crown as Spain defeated them 3-1 on penalties after the match ended 1-1. New Zealand then went on to shock 2014 champions Japan 4-3 on penalties in a match that also finished 1-1 after regulation time to ensure a first-time champion will be crowned in Montevideo on 1 December.

That was on full display as Korea DPR's players were constantly instructing each other throughout their quarter-final against Spain, ensuring their team-mates were in the right positions and knew when Spain were applying any pressure.
Kiwi spirit lights up Colonia: Estadio Profesor Alberto Suppici rang with chants from the travelling New Zealand supporters during their quarter-final with Japan. Perhaps New Zealand's impressive performance against 2014 champions Japan was given a boost from their friends and family, who travelled thousands of kilometres to witness their country's first U-17 Women's World Cup knockout match.
Keepers steal the spotlight: After 23 outfield players were named player of the match at Uruguay 2018, there have now been three consecutive games in which goalkeepers have taken home the award. Wiebke Willebrandt started the streak with her incredible performance against USA in the group stage. Spain's Catalina Coll and New Zealand's Anna Leat then both produced superb displays in their respective penalty shootouts to lead their teams to the last four.
