Kaka on Neymar, Mbappe and Cristiano

  • Kaka won the FIFA World Cup at the age of 20

  • He discusses how Brazil's youngster can help Neymar win a sixth title

  • Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo are also on the menu

Kaka did not have to wait long into his career to achieve what every footballer dreams of. An icon at Sao Paulo and AC Milan, he was only 20 when he formed part of the Brazil squad that won the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™. Now 40, Kaka spoke to FIFA at the Final Draw for Qatar 2022™ on 1 April, and discussed the challenge facing Kylian Mbappe: maintaining his motivation after winning the World Cup so young.

Kaka also believes Antony, Raphinha and Vinicius Junior can help Neymar in his mission to win Brazil’s sixth world title. Delighted to see Tite remain as coach, the former Seleção star promised to be there to cheer them on.

Kaka appeared at two more world finals after Korea/Japan 2022: Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010. Though he felt he was still playing well enough to make Brazil 2014, he missed out on a place in the squad and the chance to end his international career in style. As Cristiano Ronaldo prepares for his fifth World Cup, the Brazilian said he can only imagine how that feels and expressed his wish that the Portuguese star could play at three more world finals at least. Before signing off, Kaka revealed the legacy he hopes to see for football in the Gulf region after Qatar 2022. Watch the video above and find out everything he has to say.
