FIFA Confederations Cup tickets go on sale for Visa cardholders

As of 11.00 (CET) on Tuesday, 8 November 2016, football fans will have their first opportunity to purchase tickets for the Tournament of Champions taking place in Russia in 2017 via the Visa Pre-Sale. The inventory on FIFA.com/tickets features tickets for all matches, including the final and the opening game, as well as the fixtures involving the Russian national team. Series of tickets for matches in each of the four Host Cities – Kazan, Moscow, Sochi and Saint Petersburg – will also go on sale. The price of group-stage tickets will start from RUB 960 in category 4 (exclusively for Russian residents) and from USD 70 in category 3 (all other fans).

"Excitement is building in Russia – the fact that more than one million people voted for the official mascot and the extremely high number of volunteer applications we have received for the FIFA Confederations Cup and the FIFA World Cup best demonstrate this. The exclusive Visa Ticket Pre-Sale is undoubtedly a great opportunity for fans to secure tickets early for all matches of a tournament which, as well as hosts Russia, will also feature the reigning world champions and six continental title holders. As such, there is sure to be some great football action next June/July in Russia,” said FIFA Chief Commercial Officer, Philippe Le Floc’h.

During this pre-sale phase, which runs until 17 November, only Visa cards will be accepted as a means of payment. Fans can purchase up to six tickets per match per household, for a maximum of ten matches. The delivery of tickets, which is free of charge, will start in April 2017. Special-access tickets will also be available to fans with accessibility needs.

The Official Draw for the FIFA Confederations Cup will take place in Kazan on 26 November, when fans will discover who their teams be up against in the group-stage. The first general sales phase will kick off on 1 December 2016 via FIFA.com/tickets and will run until 19 January 2017. During this sales phase fans are invited to submit their ticket applications and will find out which FIFA Confederations Cup tickets were allocated to them once the sales has ended. If the number of requests for a ticket product exceed the number of available tickets, then tickets will be allocated by a random selection draw. During this and subsequent sales phases, several payment methods will be accepted.

The FIFA Confederations Cup will be held for the first time in Russia, between 17 June and 2 July 2017. To date, the following teams have qualified: Russia (host), Germany (2014 FIFA World Cup™ winners), Australia (AFC Asian Cup winners), Chile (Copa América winners), Mexico (CONCACAF Gold Cup winners), New Zealand (OFC Nations Cup winners) and Portugal (UEFA EURO winners). The CAF champions will be decided on 12 February 2017.
