Portugal land in Kazan ahead of Confederations Cup debut

  • European champions touch down in Russia

  • Cristiano Ronaldo and Co set to meet Mexico on 18 June

  • Fernando Santos's side making first ever Confederations Cup appearance

Led by Cristiano Ronaldo, European champions Portugal arrived at Kazan’s airport this evening, four days ahead of their FIFA Confederations Cup premiere against Mexico in the Tatarstan capital.

Following their match against the current CONCACAF Gold Cup holders, Portugal are set to play hosts Russia in Moscow on 21 June and New Zealand in Saint Petersburg on 24 June.

Portugal, Chile and hosts Russia are the three contenders who will be appearing for the first time at the FIFA Confederations Cup.
