Hyundai-Kia to transport players and officials at Russia 2017

Ahead of the upcoming FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017, Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors Corporation have officially handed over the fleet of vehicles that will be used for the event. The Hyundai-Kia VIK Official Handover Ceremony took place on 8 June at the Spartak Stadium in Moscow, one of the venues for Russia 2017.

The handover ceremony was witnessed by representatives from FIFA, Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors Corporation. Jay Neuhaus, FIFA Head of Rights Delivery & Hospitality, spoke to emphasise FIFA’s determination to stage an unforgettable Confederations Cup and to thank Hyundai-Kia for their support.

He said: “The vehicle handover is a vital part of the preparation for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and we are pleased to have such a globally recognised automotive brand provide us with stylish, reliable and comfortable vehicles to safely transport our FIFA officials, media and others.”

In total, Hyundai-Kia will provide 171 vehicles throughout the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017. These will be used to transport national football teams, referees, officials, delegates and media to the four stadium venues during the two-week tournament, which culminates with the final match in St Petersburg on 2 July.
