FIFA Club World Cup™ Fan Zone to be held at Doha Sports Park on 9-21 December

Fans are invited to enjoy music and live entertainment at the FIFA Club World Cup™ Fan Zone at Doha Sports Park, located next to the Doha Golf Club, on 9-21 December.

It will be free to enter the outdoor festival of football, which aims to gather thousands of fans from 14:00 to midnight every day, taking advantage of the mild winter temperatures. There will be a vast array of food and beverage stalls showcasing local and international cuisine. All matches kicking-off at 20:30 local time will be shown live at the venue, which will offer a relaxed party atmosphere and fun activities for all.

Featuring on the entertainment schedule are Liverpool-based acts The Lightning Seeds, Space, Jamie Webster, Kieran Molyneux, Ben Burke, The Tea Street Band, Timo Tierney, and The Cavern Beatles. The special Liverpudlian line-up will run from 18-21 December. Bands, DJs and performers from all six participating confederations will take to the stage throughout the tournament including Akustixteel, Alianza, All Lit Up, Brazuqa, Mariachi Dos Mundos and Re Jam.

Nasser Al Khater, CEO of the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019™ Local Organising Committee, said: “We’re excited to confirm our plans for the FIFA Club World Cup Fan Zone, which is sure to be a popular venue for the thousands of fans who will visit Qatar for the 16th edition of the event.

“Whether you live here or have travelled to Qatar from the other side of the world, there will be something for everyone to enjoy at the fan zone. As well as providing a host of fun activities for all visitors, we hope the fan zone gives people a taste of Qatar’s inclusive and diverse culture, along with a glimpse of the remarkable FIFA World Cup that we will host in 2022.”

Jean-François Pathy, FIFA’s Director of Marketing Services, added: “We’re delighted to have an energetic and welcoming place for fans to celebrate together away from the stadiums at this year’s FIFA Club World Cup. The fan zone is an extension of the stadiums and its rich entertainment programme is sure to enhance the experience of both visiting and local fans.”

From 9 December a shuttle service will run between Al Qassar Metro Station (Red Line) and the Fan Zone. More information on transportation links on match days will be available on www.sc.qa/fanzone.
