Who will be The Best? That question will generate lots of debate this week, with the awards for The Best FIFA Men’s and Women’s Players of the Yearproviding the topics of discussion along with The Best FIFA Men and Women’s Coaches of 2016. Discussing those issues in exclusive interviews are Switzerland coach Vladimir Petkovic, a member on our expert The Best FIFA Football Awards™ panel, Portuguese forward Nani, former Denmark international Katrine Pedersen and her national team coach Nils Nielsen.

We will also be casting the spotlight on the FIFA Fan Award, one of the major innovations of The Best FIFA Football Awards. On Tuesday, we will pay tribute to the fans of ADO Den Haag for their heart-warming show of solidarity in throwing soft toys to Feyenoord supporters at a league match between the two sides.

Then on Wednesday, we will recall the mass chorus staged by Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund supporters ahead of the second leg of the UEFA Europa League quarter-final tie between their two clubs on 14 April, the day before the 27th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

Finally, on Saturday we will turn our attention to the people ofIceland, who flocked in numbers to France to cheer on their national team at UEFA EURO 2016. Don’t forget to vote for your favourite fans. The winners will be announced on 9 January.

With the end of the year approaching, we will also be taking a look back throughout the week at the qualifying competitions for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, picking out the year’s main highlights on the five continents. Last but not least, don’t miss the publication of the new Men’s FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking at 10:00 CET on Thursday, or the Women’s Ranking, which comes out exactly 24 hours later.

We will also have all our regular features for you as well as the latest stats, videos and photos. Have a great week of football on FIFA.com.
