Next week on FIFA.com

The next rounds of qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ are looming large and that has had a clear impact on this week’s FIFA.com menu. We will start with the host nation and their new man on the tiller, Stanislav Cherchesov. The Russia coach will be giving us his insight on how he plans to make his charges as competitive as possible ahead of their next two major challenges: the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and the 2018 World Cup.

The following day we will discover how Hernan Dario Gomez is getting his Panama squad ready to tackle Jamaica, in a clash that will be decisive in terms of securing a place in the Hexagonal, the six-team final round of CONCACAF Zone qualifying. Canada’s Atiba Hutchinson,for his part, will be sharing with us the Canucks’ hopes of returning to world football’s top table. In a similar vein, Congo coach Pierre Lechantre will reveal how he feels his previous experience on the African continent can help him pull off an against-the-odds feat in his new role.

Turning to Asia, Hassan Al Haydosis set to take the opportunity to discuss how prolific Qatar’s front-line have been since the start of the preliminary competition, while we will also chat with Thailand duo Adisak Kraisornand Teerasil Dangdaon their country’s approach to the third round of AFC Zone qualifying. Choi Yong-soo,meanwhile, will take a look back at Korea Republic’s World Cup history, before touching on his own future, while heading back to African soil - Henryk Kasperczak will analyse Tunisia’s chances of bagging a ticket for the next Africa Cup of Nations and Russia 2018.

Nor will women’s football be overlooked, with both England’s Laura Bassett and Japan’sMana Iwabuchitaking a trip down memory lane with FIFA.com. The FIFA Futsal World Cup is also just around the corner, but before that we will touch base with two of the participating nations, Ukraine and Iran. And given the recent conclusion of the Men’s and Women’s Olympic Football Tournaments, we will bring you a summary of the most eye-catching stats.
