Next week on FIFA.com
Just like every Sunday, we whet your appetite with a preview of what FIFA.com will be serving up in the coming days, which will be headed by a journey back to the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™, as well as the business end of UEFA EURO 2016.
Our commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ will be continuing until next Saturday. On Monday, FIFA.com will be taking you to the FIFA World Football Museum to discover items that made history in Germany. Coming your way the following day will be a photographic exploration of the top stories from the tournament, before we relive and analyse one of the event's most gripping episodes: the quarter-final shoot-out between the hosts and Argentina.
On Thursday, Enzo Francescoli will be discussing the sorry fate of Zinedine Zidane, who idolised the Uruguayan legend as a kid. The day after that, Fabio Cannavaro – for whom the competition had a happier ending – will be taking centre stage through a video interview. Lastly, Saturday 9 June marks exactly ten years since the Germany 2006 Final, an occasion FIFA.com will be celebrating by recapping the highlights from a tournament that culminated with Italy lifting the World Cup Trophy for the fourth time.
On a different note, UEFA EURO 2016 is nearing its conclusion, with the winners to represent Europe at the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017. FIFA.com will be on hand so that you can follow all the action through to Sunday's final. We are also close to finding out who will be flying the flag for South America at the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2016: the Copa Libertadores has reached the semi-final stage and we'll be giving you the lowdown on the ties.
The above is just an idea of what is coming up on FIFA.com. You will also find the latest news on FIFAand FIFA Tournaments, visits to Mali and Russia, and extensive women's football coverage. Last but not least, there will be plenty of videos and photos, plus all our regular features. Have a fantastic week full of football!
