Meanwhile, women's football will also be in the spotlight early on this coming week, with two legendary figures – Marinette Pichon and Asako Takakura – taking centre stage. The Frenchwoman will be discussing the game's development in her homeland, while the Japanese will be reflecting on her ambitions at the helm of the Nadeshiko. Also coming your way will be our weekly round-up of the women's club scene, as well as a look back at the past month's most memorable moments.

From 3 June attentions across the football world will be turning to the United States, where 16 countries will begin battling it out in the 2016 Copa America. Head to FIFA.com for the lowdown on the contenders and insights into the tournament's history, to read about how Isabelino Gradinmade his mark on the competition's very first instalment in 1916, and to keep abreast of the action in this three-week-long special centenary edition.

There are still another two years to go, but FIFA.com continues to build up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.
