Teams at a glance

France - 'Maestro' and 'DaXe'

  • Players selected from existing eFootball squad

  • Two of the most experienced players at the tournament

  • 'DaXe' in the top six of the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings

Two of the most experienced eFootball players in the world will represent France at the FIFA eNations Cup. 'Maestro' participated at the FIFA eClub World Cup earlier this year and has qualified for the last two FIFA eWorld Cups, while 'DaXe' has won several titles over the past few years and is currently in the top six of the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings. Both players also impressed at last week's FUT Champions Cup in London, where 'Maestro' was PlayStation champion, meaning they come into this tournament in good form. Brian Savary, who was Team Vitality's coach at the FIFA eClub World Cup 2019, will provide psychological and tactical support throughout the competition.

England - 'F2Tekkz' and 'FUTWIZTom'

  • FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings leader

  • Players selected at England's National Championship

  • Reigning FIFA eClub World Cup champion on board

It came as no great surprise when 'F2Tekkz' booked his place in the eLions' squad at the qualifying event in London. The Englishman is dominating the FIFA scene this season and is top of the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings. His team-mate 'FUTWIZTom' is likewise a well-known figure in the community and is currently in the top 100 of the FIFA 19 Global Series PlayStation Ranking. With England among the title favourites, it really could be coming home this year.

South Africa - 'Shiaan1201' and 'Task Azi'

  • Team formed at the National Championship

  • The only African team to participate

  • Underdogs in a tough group

"It was a tight game against one of the best players in Africa, if not the best, but thankfully I took my chance and was able to win the tournament," said 'Task Azi’ after securing his place in the national team. "I'm looking forward to representing South Africa on one of the biggest stages of the FIFA 19 Global Series."

Alongside 'Shiaan1201', who was called up as a replacement to the team following disciplinary measures against another South African player, the duo will represent the only African nation at the FIFA eNations Cup. South Africa are underdogs in the group, but could use that to their advantage and cause an upset against bigger names as they look to progress to the next round.

Saudi Arabia - 'Msdossary' and 'The Royal'

  • Two former Grand Finalists

  • Reigning FIFA eWorld Cup™ champion

  • Duo were a team at the FIFA eClub World Cup™ 2018

Reigning FIFA eWorld Cup champion Mosaad Aldossary and 'The Royal', who are both currently ranked in the top ten, will fly the flag for Saudi Arabia at the FIFA eNations Cup. 'Msdossary' put in a series of strong performances recently to cement second place in the Rankings and also won April's FUT Champions Cup in London. The players competed together at the FIFA eClub World Cup 2018 and played well, both individually and as a team. 'The Royal’ has already appeared at two FIFA eClub World Cups and at a Grand Final, so it is not just down to 'Msdossary' that Saudi Arabia are among the favourites to triumph here.

Finland - 'Sn1pguy' and 'MakezCR'

  • Underdogs in Group A alongside South Africa

  • Nordic Xbox champion and Finnish FIFA 19 champion

  • One of four Scandinavian teams at the FIFA eNations Cup

Finland's players earned their place on the team at the association's National Championship. 'Sn1pguy' reached the play-offs last year and was the best Xbox player in a strong Nordic eFootball scene, while his team-mate 'MakezCR' is the reigning Finnish FIFA 19 champion. Finland are not among the favourites to go through to the next round so will endeavour to cause an upset.
